st ives: st nicholas dinner

we had a festive meal at grandma's cottage

all the trimmings and posh stuffing in crab shells!

we exchanged small gifts, played on their wii (watching my mum on that was the funniest time of the holiday!), drank too much mulled wine and then went to my cottage for tea in front of the fire

st ives: ice skating

we went to truro and they have ice skating beside the amazing cathedral and again, unlike rip-off-sussex, it was only £5 each

st ives: our own private beach

100 yards from our cottage was this

it reminded us of the beach in 'five children and it'

st ives: pottery painting

right next door to grandma and aunty anne's cottage was a shop called 'splodge'...we spent a couple of lovely hours there painting pottery and unlike rip-off-sussex, they don't charge 'studio time', you just pay for the item you paint

lottie really put her heart and soul into her teapot with matching cup

ellie made a sweetly pretty heart (but appears to have been photo-bombed)

st ives: harbour views

see the cottage in the background with the little white picket fence? that's called the lookout and we want to stay there next year as the door opens onto the beach...how fabulous

st ives: food

went to the farmers market and purchased indian cuisine made in camborne by rubyjune...beetroot bahjiis and butternut squash bhajiis....yum!

had to be done....a pasty!

another must do....saffron buns

i could eat these every day

st ives holiday: our lovely cottage

1 st eia street...a 4 storey old fisherman's cottage

kitchen

girl's lounge with woodburner

girl's bathroom (bath every night as deep as they wanted)

mummy's lounge

mummy's bedroom

mummy's bathroom with power shower

lottie's attic bedroom (so cute)

ellie's shabby chic bedroom

we fell in love with the cottage, the town, the people, the food...go there, it's wonderful!
