canadian thanksgiving

canadians celebrate thanksgiving on the first monday of october (primarily because they are far more north and their harvest comes earlier than the yanks)

we celebrated with the whole family and friends

the head (ie: the oldest) of the family carving the bird

brothers/uncles

it takes a woman to do the job properly

we learnt that canada has 40 national parks, an unknown number of lakes, it's national emblems are a beaver and a maple leaf, it's national sports are ice hockey and lacrosse and it crosses 6 time zones

we were all asked for what we are thankful...the winning answer "the regularity of my bowels", no guessing who submitted that
