i dressed as the queen did in the 70's for work
i walked home waving to everyone (including the mayor) and had a very favourable response from one's subjects
lottie made a union jack pillowcase
we decorated
the celebration tree had red roses, red telephone boxes, red double decker buses, red postboxes and union jacks
we hired a jubilee kitty for the day
and a matching puppy
my mum unearthed this!
ellie made a wreath for the front door
mummy made regal bunting from 2 samples of wallpaper
and we had a fabulous tea party with:
mini fruit scones, grandma's jam and clotted cream, lottie's white chocolate and raspberry cupcakes, sausage rolls, crisps, jam tarts, english cheeses board and crackers, dolly mixtures and jelly babies and a jubilee trifle with strawberries in jelly, custard, cream and blueberries/raspberries on top washed down with lashings of tea in vintage cups and saucers
we played 'guess the baby'
we played 'queeny quiz'
we played 'best national anthem'
we all made crowns
we had a swapshop
and we all had champagne to toast queeny
'god save the queen, god save the queen, god save the queen'
what did you do?
